Terms & Conditions

These are general Terms And Conditions. Please confirm terms And conditions for individual packages etc.

• A 50% deposit on the total of the day fees is required to secure your safari.
• GIX Africa Safaris will confirm your booking upon receipt of your deposit.
• All clients are required to complete and sign a “Hunt Contract” between themselves and GIX Africa Safaris.
• The outstanding balance, of day and trophy fees, will be payable by cash or traveller’s cheques on the last day of your safari and before you start your journey home.
• Commencement of your safari will depend on the time of your arrival in South Africa: Arrival before 12pm – Transfer to hunting area will take place after your arrival, counting as the first safari day and charged accordingly.

  Arrival after 12pm – Transfer to hunting area will take place on the following day. Day of arrival is charged as “Day of Arrival” at a reduced rate and is NOT a safari day.

• “Day of Departure” will not be charged if no hunting takes place on this day.
• All clients are required to sign an indemnity form before departure from the airport.
• All clients are advised to purchase comprehensive personal, medical, travel and cancellation insurance.
• Prices are subject to change. Clients with booked safaris will be given timely notice of such change.
• In the unfortunate event where it becomes necessary to find recourse in the Court, the Courts of the Republic of South Africa will have exclusive jurisdiction in any dispute and the prevailing laws of the Republic of South Africa will be applicable.

Cancellations & Refunds

In the event of cancellation, written notice (mail, e-mail or fax) must be provided to GIX Africa Safaris. GIX Africa must acknowledge receipt of such notice for it to be valid.

Refunds on deposits will be provided according to the following:

• Notice given before 90 days prior to commencement of hunt – 90% refund.
• Notice given before 60 days prior to commencement of hunt – 70% refund.
• Notice given before 30 days prior to commencement of hunt – 50% refund.
• Notice given within 30 days prior to commencement of hunt – NO refund.

Any booking may be rescheduled and a paid deposit transferred to this rescheduled booking, subject to the following:

• Rescheduled booking must be made 30 days prior to the commencement of the original booking.
• GIX Africa Safaris must confirm the rescheduled booking.
• Commencement of rescheduled hunt must be within 12 months following the original booking.
• Only ONE reschedule is allowed per original booking.
• NO refunds are payable upon the cancellation of rescheduled bookings.
